Originally composed in 2001 and celebrated as one of Katy Abbott's most "much-loved" lyrical works, Autumn Song has now been reimagined for Piano Trio (Violin, Cello and Piano).

This 4-minute work is a study in song-like phrasing and ensemble interaction. While the original captured the solitary voice of a wind soloist, this new arrangement distributes the melodic conversation between the violin and cello, supported by a resonant piano accompaniment.

It is graded at an Intermediate level (approx. Grade 5–6 / VCE / HSC), making it an accessible yet musically rewarding choice for student ensembles, wedding repertoires, or concert interludes where 'stillness' and beauty are required.
